Stefan Hunt directs ‘Greater Things’, a creative short film project for the Gates Foundation. It was shot across six countries - Kenya, India, China, USA, Scotland and South Africa. Stories from each location tie together to tell the story of what you can accomplish when you get the right people together.
Lensed by cinematographer Logan Triplett on 16mm and S8mm film, as well as on digital. Cinelab handled both the film and digital footage on the production. Cinelab’s ‘Digital Dailies Drop’ works just like our film dailies service: at the end of your shoot simply arrange drop-off of your media to Cinelab and our experienced and knowledgeable team will take care of the rest. Ensuring rapid dailies creation, prompt editorial delivery and industry approved archiving and validation of all digital media assets.
The digital footage then benefitted from Cinelab’s DFD (Digital-Film-Digital) process. Transferring the digitally captured footage to Kodak film stock and then processing and scanning it back to digital. The process adds real film grain and texture to the digital image giving it an authentic film look. Leading to the digital footage seamlessly sitting amongst the film captured footage.
