The countdown has begun! The Straight 8 Industry Shootout 2025 is now officially live – challenging creative companies from across the globe to shoot a short film on a single roll of Super 8, with no editing and no post-production magic. Just in-camera creativity and a bold idea.
Cinelab Film & Digital is proud to once again support the competition by processing and scanning every single roll of Super 8 film shot for the Shootout. It’s a privilege to be part of the magic behind the scenes, helping bring these one-take wonders to life.
The Industry Shootout culminates in a premiere screening at Cannes Lions in June – where the teams will see their films for the first time, live with the audience. No pressure, right?
